Possible Causes
Faulty door interlock assembly, misaligned door latch, broken door hook, wiring fault between door lock and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and the latch engages fully. Look for broken or loose door hook components.
- Inspect door seal and hinge: A distorted door gasket or sagging hinge can prevent proper locking. Adjust hinge screws and reseat the gasket if needed.
- Access door lock: Remove the front retaining band of the door seal and peel back the gasket near the lock. Unscrew the door lock assembly and inspect the connector. Reseat the plug and check for burnt pins.
If F13 remains: Replace the door lock assembly. If a new lock does not solve it, the wiring or control board lock circuit may be faulty.
