Bauknecht
Door unlock fault
Washer shows F34, door will not unlock at end of cycle
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Stuck door lock mechanism, broken door handle or cable (on some models), control board not sending unlock signal, wiring fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before attempting manual door release.
- Wait for delay: Many Bauknecht models have a 1–2 minute delay before unlocking. Wait this time and listen for a click.
- Manual release: Access the emergency door release (often a pull cord or lever near the pump filter behind the lower front panel). Pull gently to unlock the door.
- Inspect lock: Once open, check the door lock assembly for mechanical damage or overheating. Replace if suspect.
If F34 continues: Replace the door lock assembly and check wiring. If unresolved, the control board may be at fault.
