Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, seized drum bearings, failed motor, faulty motor control on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer.
- Check drum by hand: Open the door and rotate the drum. If it is very stiff or grinding, the bearings may be seized.
- Inspect belt: Remove the rear panel and check if the belt is on the pulleys. Refit or replace if broken.
- Spin motor pulley: With belt off, spin the motor pulley. If stiff or rough, the motor may be faulty.
If belt and mechanics are fine: The motor or control board likely needs professional diagnosis and replacement.
