Washer fills with water even when switched off, slow water ingress into drum

Safety first: Turn off the water tap feeding the washer when not in use until repaired.

• Clean inlet valve: Unplug the washer, remove the inlet hose, and clean the mesh filters. If debris has entered the valve, the valve may not seal properly and should be replaced.
• Check water pressure: Very high pressure may require a pressure reducer.

In most cases, replacing the water inlet valve assembly is the permanent fix.
