Washer has a strong musty or moldy smell inside drum

Safety first: Use cleaning chemicals as directed and ventilate the area.

• Run maintenance wash: Run a 90°C empty cycle with a washing machine cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar (if allowed by manual) to kill bacteria and dissolve residues.
• Clean door seal: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth and mild detergent, removing black slime and debris.
• Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away mold and detergent buildup. Clean the housing as well.
• Leave door open: After each wash, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow drying.
