Possible Causes
Cracked tub-to-pump hose, loose hose clamp, leaking drain pump, leaking inlet valve or dispenser hose, cracked outer tub
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply.
- Access underside: Remove rear and lower front panels. Place towels under the machine.
- Run a short fill test: Briefly power the washer and start a fill cycle while observing hoses and components. Stop and unplug as soon as you locate a leak.
- Tighten or replace: Tighten loose clamps, replace cracked hoses, and replace a leaking pump or valve.
If the outer tub is cracked: The tub assembly usually must be replaced, which is a major repair.
