Possible Causes
Blocked inlet water filter screens, Faulty water inlet valve, Low or no water supply pressure, Wiring or control board fault to inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the water taps and unplug the washer.
Step-by-step checks:
- Verify water supply: Ensure both hot and cold (if fitted) taps are fully open. Check household water pressure by opening a nearby tap.
- Clean inlet filters: Disconnect the inlet hoses from the back of the machine. Inside the valve ports you will see small mesh filters. Gently pull them out with needle-nose pliers and rinse under running water to remove grit and limescale.
- Check hoses: Inspect hoses for kinks, crushing, or internal blockage. Replace if damaged.
- Test the inlet valve: With the back panel removed, locate the Beko water inlet valve. Using a multimeter, measure coil resistance (typically 2–5 kΩ; check service data). If open circuit or shorted, replace the valve.
- Check for 230V supply: During fill (careful: live voltage), the valve should receive mains voltage from the PCB. If no voltage is present but wiring is intact, the control board may be faulty.
Note: If you are not comfortable working around live mains voltage, stop and contact a professional.
