Washer stops during cycle with E05; may not heat water or may take excessively long to complete.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and allow time for any hot water to cool before working.
Step-by-step checks:
- Access the heater: On most Beko models, remove the rear panel to access the heater at the bottom of the tub. You will see two large terminals and an earth connection.
- Test the element: Disconnect the wires and measure resistance across the heater terminals. Typical values are 20–30 Ω. If open circuit or shorted to earth (test between each terminal and the metal casing), replace the heater.
- Check the NTC sensor: The NTC is usually integrated into or next to the heater. Measure resistance at room temperature (commonly 4–20 kΩ depending on type). If reading is out of spec or does not change with temperature, replace the sensor.
- Inspect wiring and connectors: Look for heat damage, corrosion, or loose spade terminals. Clean and tighten as needed.
Note: If heater and NTC test good but E05 persists, the PCB heater relay or triac may be faulty and requires professional diagnosis.
