Possible Causes
Loose harness between display PCB and main PCB, Corroded connectors, Faulty display board, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing control panels.
Step-by-step checks:
- Access control panels: Remove the top cover and control fascia as needed to reach both the main PCB and the user interface/display PCB.
- Check connectors: Unplug and replug the ribbon cables and harnesses between boards. Inspect for bent pins, corrosion, or broken locking tabs.
- Look for moisture: Any signs of water ingress around the control panel must be addressed (leaking dispenser, damaged door seal).
If reseating connectors does not clear E12, one of the boards is likely defective and should be replaced by a professional.
