Safety first: Unplug the washer before internal inspection.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Redistribute load: Open the door (once unlocked) and rearrange laundry evenly around the drum. Remove heavy items if necessary and retry spin.
  • Check suspension: Remove top cover and gently push down on the drum. It should move smoothly and return without excessive bouncing. Inspect shock absorbers and springs for leaks, breaks, or detachment.
  • Replace worn parts: If shocks are weak or leaking oil, replace them in pairs.

If mechanical suspension is sound but E18 persists, motor speed sensing (tachometer) should be checked as per E06.
