Possible Causes
Clogged inlet filters at water valves, Faulty water inlet valve assembly, Low or no water supply pressure, Wiring or control board fault to inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close both hot and cold water supply taps.
Step-by-step checks:
- Verify water supply: Ensure both supply taps are fully open. Disconnect the hoses from the back of the washer and run them into a bucket to confirm strong water flow from the house plumbing.
- Clean inlet filters: At the washer's inlet ports, remove the small mesh filters using needle-nose pliers. Rinse under running water to remove sand, rust, or debris. Reinstall carefully.
- Inspect hoses: Check for kinks, crushing, or internal blockage in the inlet hoses. Replace if swollen or damaged.
- Test inlet valve coils: Remove the top cover of the washer. Locate the water inlet valve assembly. With the machine unplugged, disconnect the wiring connectors and measure coil resistance with a multimeter. Open coils (infinite resistance) indicate a failed valve that must be replaced.
- Check wiring and control: Inspect the harness from the control board to the inlet valve for loose connectors or damaged wires. If water supply, filters, and valve are good but E02 persists, the main control board may not be energizing the valve correctly and may require professional diagnosis.
