Possible Causes

Faulty motor tachometer sensor, Loose tachometer magnet or ring on motor shaft, Damaged wiring between tachometer and control board, Defective main control board speed sensing circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and ensure the drum has stopped completely before working near the motor.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Access the motor: Remove the rear panel and take off the drive belt. Remove the motor mounting bolts and carefully lower the motor.
  • Inspect tachometer assembly: At the rear of the motor, locate the tachometer coil and magnet ring. Ensure the magnet ring is firmly attached and not cracked or loose. If damaged, replace the motor or tachometer assembly (depending on design).
  • Test tachometer coil: Disconnect the tachometer wires and measure resistance with a multimeter. Typical values are a few hundred ohms. An open circuit indicates a failed tachometer.
  • Check wiring harness: Trace the tachometer wires back to the control board. Look for chafed insulation, broken conductors, or loose connectors. Repair or replace as needed.
  • Control board diagnosis: If the tachometer and wiring are good but E07 persists, the speed sensing circuit on the main PCB may be defective. Board-level repair or replacement is recommended by a qualified technician.
