Possible Causes
Frequent low-temperature washes, Residual detergent and softener in drawer, Standing water in door seal folds, Blocked drain causing stagnant water
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before deep cleaning internal parts.
Step-by-step cleaning:
- Run a maintenance wash: Run an empty 90°C cycle with a washing machine cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar (check manual for compatibility).
- Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away mold and residue. Clean the housing jets.
- Clean door seal: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in mild bleach solution. Dry thoroughly.
- Check drain: Clean the pump filter to remove trapped lint and debris that can cause smells.
- Ventilation: Leave the door and drawer slightly open between washes to allow drying.
