Possible Causes
Faulty motor tachometer sensor, Loose or damaged motor connector, Defective motor control circuit on main PCB, Slipping or damaged drive belt
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels.
- Check load: Ensure the drum is not overloaded or severely unbalanced. Remove heavy items and try a spin-only cycle.
- Inspect drive belt: Remove the rear panel and check that the belt is intact and tight on both the motor pulley and drum pulley. Replace if frayed or loose.
- Check motor plug: Verify the motor connector is fully seated and free of corrosion or burnt pins.
- Test tachometer: With the motor removed, measure resistance across the tachometer terminals. Replace the motor if the tach coil is open or physically damaged.
- Control board check: If motor and tachometer are good but E08 persists, the motor control circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and require professional replacement.
