Washer does not drain; E18 displayed on Bosch models with 7-seg display

Safety first: Unplug the washer. Prepare towels and a shallow tray.

• Open service flap: At the lower front, open the flap and locate the pump filter and emergency drain hose.
• Drain water: Use the emergency drain hose to empty water into a tray. Then slowly unscrew the filter cap.
• Clean filter and pump: Remove all debris from the filter and check the pump impeller for obstructions. Ensure it spins freely.
• Check drain hose: Inspect the external drain hose for kinks or blockages and flush if necessary.
• Test pump: Refit the filter, plug in the washer, and run a drain program. If the pump is silent or only hums, replace the Bosch drain pump.
