Possible Causes
Shorted drain pump, Burnt triac on control board, Damaged wiring harness to pump, Water ingress on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and ensure the base is dry.
- Check pump resistance: Disconnect the pump and measure coil resistance. A very low resistance or short indicates a failed pump.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the harness from the pump to the control board, checking for damage or signs of overheating.
- Inspect control board: Remove the control module and look for burnt components near the pump triac. If damaged, the board must be repaired or replaced.
- Replace pump and/or board: Install a new Bosch drain pump if shorted, and replace the control board if the triac is burnt.
