• Check the door gasket area: Make sure no clothing or gasket deformation prevents full closure. Clean any detergent buildup around the latch.
• Test the door lock: Remove the front panel screws around the door lock area (usually accessible from the front flange). Gently pull the lock assembly out. Inspect for burn marks or broken plastic.
• Electrical test: With the washer unplugged, disconnect the door lock connector. Use a multimeter to check continuity across the lock terminals according to the wiring diagram (often printed on the back panel). If the lock coil is open or shorted, replace the door lock assembly.
• Check wiring: Trace the harness from the door lock to the main PCB (usually at the top rear or side). Look for pinched, broken, or corroded wires and reseat connectors.
• Control reset: After reassembly, plug in the washer, close the door firmly, and press Start/Pause for 5–10 seconds to clear the error. If D01 persists with a known-good lock, the PCB may be faulty and should be tested or replaced by a technician.
