Washer does not fill with water; display shows D04 shortly after cycle start.

Safety first: Unplug the washer and close the water taps before disconnecting hoses.

Check water supply:

• Verify that the hot/cold taps feeding the Brandt washer are fully open.
• Disconnect the inlet hoses from the rear of the washer and run them into a bucket to confirm strong water flow.

Clean inlet filters:

• At the washer's inlet valve ports, remove the small mesh filters with needle-nose pliers.
• Rinse under running water and remove limescale with a soft brush.

Test inlet valves:

• With the washer unplugged, remove the top cover to access the water inlet valve assembly.
• Disconnect the electrical connectors and measure coil resistance with a multimeter. Replace the valve if coils are open or show burn marks.

Check pressure switch hose:

• Locate the thin pressure hose from the tub to the pressure switch (usually mounted on the side or top frame).
• Ensure the hose is not kinked, split, or blocked. Blow gently through it (disconnected) to clear any soap residue.

Reassemble, restore water and power, and run a quick wash. If D04 persists with good supply and valves, the pressure switch or main PCB may need replacement.
