Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring between NTC and PCB, PCB analog input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer.
Locate the NTC sensor:
- Access the heater area at the bottom of the tub from the rear or front lower panel.
- The NTC is usually clipped into the heater bracket or inserted into the tub wall.
Test the NTC:
- Disconnect the NTC connector.
- Measure resistance at room temperature; typical values are 15–25 kΩ. Warm the sensor slightly with your hand; resistance should decrease smoothly.
- If reading is infinite, near zero, or unstable, replace the NTC sensor.
Check wiring:
- Inspect the harness from NTC to PCB for cuts or corrosion and reseat connectors.
Reassemble and run a hot wash. If D12 persists with a new NTC and good wiring, the PCB input circuit is likely defective.
