Possible Causes

Shorted heater or motor drawing excessive current, Burnt triac on PCB, Wiring short to chassis

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer.

Check for shorts:

  • Test the heater and motor windings for shorts to ground with a multimeter (resistance between terminals and chassis should be very high).
  • Inspect wiring harnesses for chafing against the metal cabinet.

Inspect PCB:

  • Look for burnt components near the power triacs or relays.

Replace any shorted component (heater or motor). If the PCB is visibly damaged or E09 persists, replace the main control board.
