Possible Causes
Shorted drain pump, Shorted triac on PCB, Wiring short to chassis, Moisture on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and do not reset a repeatedly tripping breaker without finding the cause.
Check pump for short:
- Disconnect the pump and measure resistance between each terminal and chassis; it should be very high.
- If low resistance or visible burn marks are present, replace the pump.
Inspect PCB:
- Look for burnt areas near the pump triac.
If the pump is good but E23 persists, the PCB must be replaced.
