Possible Causes

Door lock mechanism jammed, Control not sending unlock signal, Water still detected in tub by pressure switch, Broken door handle

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer. Do not force the door open with excessive force.

Check for water:

  • If water is visible, drain via the filter access and emergency drain hose (if fitted).

Wait and reset:

  • Wait 2–5 minutes after unplugging to allow the lock to cool and release.
  • Plug back in and try a drain/spin cycle.

Manual release:

  • Access the door lock from the front by pulling back the gasket and locate the manual release tab (if present) to open the door.

If the lock repeatedly fails to open, replace the door lock assembly and inspect the pressure switch for correct empty detection.
