Possible Causes
Worn rear drum bearings, Failed bearing seal allowing water ingress, Bent drum shaft (spider), Corroded bearing housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer.
- Check drum play: With the door open, lift the drum up and down. Excessive movement or rumbling when spun by hand indicates bearing wear.
- Inspect for leaks: Look for rust streaks or water marks at the rear of the tub.
- Plan bearing replacement: On many Fagor models, bearing replacement requires removing the entire tub, splitting it, and pressing out the old bearings and seal. This is a complex repair best done by an experienced DIYer or technician.
Continued use with failed bearings can damage the drum spider and tub.
