Possible Causes

Child lock (key lock) activated, Faulty start/pause button, Loose UI board connector, Failed user interface PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug before opening any panels.

  • Check child lock: Look for a key or lock symbol on the display. Disable by holding the specified button combination (refer to Fagor manual, often pressing and holding two buttons for several seconds).
  • Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect.
  • Inspect UI connections: Remove the control panel and check ribbon cables and connectors between the UI and main PCB.
  • Test start button: With a multimeter, verify that the start button makes contact when pressed. Replace the UI board if the switch is faulty and not serviceable separately.
