Possible Causes
Stuck water inlet valve, Blocked or detached pressure hose, Faulty pressure sensor on control board, Siphoning due to incorrect drain hose installation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply immediately if overfilling.
- Check drain hose height: Ensure the drain hose is installed at the correct height (usually 800–1200 mm from floor). If too low or sealed airtight into the standpipe, siphoning can occur.
- Inspect inlet valves: Turn off taps. If water continues to enter the tub, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
- Verify pressure hose: Remove the top or rear panel to access the pressure hose. Confirm it is securely attached and not split or blocked.
- Clear air dome: At the tub connection, check for detergent buildup blocking the air dome. Clean with warm water and a small brush.
- Module/sensor replacement: If mechanical issues are ruled out, the pressure sensor or control module may be defective and should be replaced with the correct Fisher & Paykel part.
