How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before working inside the tub.
- Remove agitator/wash plate: Pry off the center cap and remove the retaining bolt. Lift the agitator or wash plate straight up.
- Inspect splines and coupling: Check for wear or rounding of the splines on the agitator and drive shaft. Replace worn parts.
- Clear debris: Remove any coins or objects trapped under the wash plate.
- Reinstall securely: Refit the agitator/wash plate and tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
