Possible Causes

Loose or cracked tub-to-pump hose, Perished door boot seal (front loader), Leaking inlet valve or dispenser hose, Failed tub seal (top loader)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply. Water on the floor can be slippery; mop up spills promptly.

  • Identify leak source: Run a short cycle while observing the washer (with panels removed if safe) to see where water emerges.
  • Check hoses: Inspect the tub-to-pump hose, drain hose, and dispenser hoses for cracks or loose clamps. Tighten or replace as needed.
  • Inspect door boot: On front loaders, look for tears or holes in the rubber door gasket. Replace the Fisher & Paykel door boot if damaged.
  • Tub seal: If water appears at the center of the drive shaft (top loader), the tub seal may be leaking and should be replaced along with bearings if contaminated.
