Washer will not fill or takes longer than 10 minutes to fill; E11 displayed on Frigidaire front-load washer

Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off both hot and cold water supply valves before working on hoses or valves.

• Check household water supply: Verify both hot and cold faucets feeding the washer are fully open. Confirm water pressure by briefly disconnecting a hose and running it into a bucket.
• Inspect inlet hoses and screens: Shut off water, disconnect hoses at the washer, and inspect the small metal screens inside the Frigidaire inlet valve ports. Clean mineral buildup with a soft brush and vinegar; do not puncture the screens.
• Check for kinked or crushed hoses: Straighten any kinks and ensure hoses are not pinched behind the machine.
• Test the water inlet valve: With power disconnected, remove the top panel (usually rear screws) to access the water inlet valve assembly. Inspect for cracks or leaks. Use a multimeter to check each solenoid coil for continuity. A reading of open (infinite resistance) indicates a bad valve that must be replaced.
• Inspect pressure switch and hose: Locate the water level pressure switch (usually near the top) and its thin rubber hose going to the tub/air dome. Ensure the hose is not kinked, split, or disconnected. Blow gently through the hose to clear any blockage.
• After repairs: Reassemble, restore water and power, and run a rinse/fill test to confirm normal filling and that E11 is cleared.
