Possible Causes
Stuck-open water inlet valve, Faulty pressure sensor misreading level, Blocked pressure hose preventing proper sensing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and shut off water supply immediately if overfilling occurs.
- Check for valve seepage: With the washer unplugged and water supply turned on briefly, watch the tub. If water slowly enters without power, the water inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Inspect pressure hose and sensor: Remove the top panel, locate the pressure sensor and its hose. Ensure the hose is firmly attached, not kinked, and free of blockages. Clean or replace the hose if needed.
- Test pressure sensor: If the hose is clear, the sensor may be misreading. Replace the pressure sensor with a Frigidaire-compatible part.
- Replace inlet valve if electrically stuck: If the valve only overfills when powered, test the valve coils for proper resistance and check for signs of overheating. Replace the water inlet valve assembly if suspect.
- Verify operation: After repairs, run a small load and monitor fill level. The water should stop below the door opening and E35 should not return.
