Washer displays E74; temperature sensor not positioned correctly

Safety first: Disconnect power before adjusting the sensor.

• Inspect sensor mounting: Access the NTC sensor at the tub or heater housing. Ensure it is fully seated in its well and secured with any clip or bracket.
• Check for damage: If the sensor or housing is cracked, replace the sensor and any damaged grommet or clip.
• Reinstall correctly: Push the sensor firmly into place so it makes good thermal contact with the tub or water path.
• Test cycle: Reassemble and run a warm wash to confirm E74 is cleared.
