Possible Causes
Cracked tub-to-pump hose, Leaking drain pump, Loose hose clamps, Cracked outer tub
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and shut off water supply. Expect water inside the base.
- Remove panels: Take off the lower front or rear panel to inspect the underside while running a short fill/drain test (use caution around live parts).
- Identify leak source: Look for active drips from hoses, pump, or tub seams. Dry the area first to see fresh leaks.
- Tighten or replace hoses: If a hose clamp is loose, tighten it. Replace any hose that is cracked or swollen with a Frigidaire-compatible hose.
- Replace leaking pump: If water seeps from the pump body or shaft, replace the drain pump assembly.
- Assess tub damage: If the outer tub is cracked, replacement of the tub assembly is required and may not be economical.
