Possible Causes
Unbalanced load detection preventing spin, Clogged drain pump or hose, Worn drive belt, Failing motor or motor control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before mechanical inspection.
- Check for error indicators: Some Frigidaire models flash lights instead of codes for unbalance. Redistribute the load and run a spin-only cycle.
- Verify draining: If water remains in the tub, inspect and clean the drain pump and hoses as described for drain faults.
- Inspect belt and motor: Remove the rear panel and check the belt for wear or looseness. Replace if slipping. Inspect the motor for overheating or noise.
- Run spin test empty: With no load, run a spin cycle. If the drum still does not reach full speed, suspect the motor or motor control board and replace as needed.
