How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Unplug the washer.

  • Hard reset: Unplug for 10–15 minutes, then plug back in and attempt to enter service mode (refer to tech sheet). If E79 remains, continue.
  • Control replacement: There is no field repair for corrupted EEPROM on most GE boards. Replace the main control board with the correct part number for your model.
