Safety First: Unplug the washer and prepare for water spillage.

• Manual drain: Use the drain filter access or lower the drain hose into a bucket to remove water.
• Clean pump filter: Remove and clean the filter thoroughly. Check for coins, buttons, or lint.
• Inspect hoses: Detach and flush the tub-to-pump and pump-to-drain hoses.
• Test pump: If the pump does not run or only hums, replace the GE drain pump assembly.
