Possible Causes
Loose tachometer connector on motor, Damaged tachometer coil, Broken magnet on motor shaft, Wiring fault to control module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer before accessing the motor.
- Access motor: Remove the rear panel of the Gorenje washer to expose the drive motor.
- Check tachometer assembly: At the rear of the motor, locate the small round tachometer coil. Ensure it is firmly attached and not cracked.
- Inspect magnet: Verify the magnet ring on the motor shaft is intact and not loose.
- Check wiring: Follow the tachometer wires to the main harness and control board. Look for pinched or broken wires and reseat connectors.
- Test tachometer: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the tachometer coil; if open-circuit, replace the tachometer or motor assembly.
If the tachometer and wiring are intact, the control board speed-sensing circuit may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
