Washer will not start; display shows E01 immediately after pressing Start

• Inspect the door: Open and close the door firmly. Check that the door closes flush with the cabinet and that the latch hook engages the lock opening fully.
• Check for obstruction: Look for clothing, gasket folds, or foreign objects preventing full closure. Remove any obstruction and try again.
• Examine the door latch hook: With power off, inspect the metal/plastic latch hook on the door. If it is loose, bent, or cracked, it must be replaced.
• Access the door lock assembly: Remove the front door seal clamp, peel back the gasket, and locate the door interlock on the cabinet front. Check the connector for signs of burning, corrosion, or loose pins. Reseat the plug firmly.
• Continuity test (for skilled users): With the lock removed and the washer unplugged, use a multimeter to test continuity across the lock terminals when the latch is engaged. If the lock does not change state, replace the door lock assembly.
• Control board check: If a known-good door lock and wiring are in place but E01 persists, the main control PCB door-lock relay or triac may be faulty. This typically requires a professional technician to diagnose and replace the PCB.

When to stop: If you smell burning, see melted plastic at the lock, or are unsure about electrical testing, stop and contact a qualified appliance technician.
