Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Immediate action: If the washer is overfilling, unplug it immediately and close the water taps to stop the water flow.
- Check the pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the bottom of the tub to the pressure switch on Gram washers. Ensure it is firmly connected at both ends and not kinked.
- Clear blockages: Detach the hose from the tub and blow gently through it. If blocked with detergent residue, rinse it with warm water and refit securely.
- Inspect the pressure switch: Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or burning on the switch and its connector. Reseat the plug.
- Test the inlet valve: With power off, verify that the water inlet valve is not stuck open by disconnecting the hoses and checking for continuous flow from the valve when the machine is unplugged. Any flow with no power indicates a stuck valve that must be replaced.
- Run a test cycle: After reassembly, reconnect power and water, then run a short cycle while monitoring the fill level. If E04 reappears or the level is abnormal, the pressure switch or control PCB may be faulty.
Warning: Overfilling can cause flooding and electrical hazards. If you cannot control the water level, do not use the washer until it is repaired by a professional.
