Possible Causes
Overloaded drum, Worn motor brushes (if fitted), Partially shorted motor windings, Faulty motor triac or inverter on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Basic user checks:
- Reduce load: Open the door (after the lock releases) and remove some laundry. Overloading can trigger motor protection and E07.
- Redistribute items: Large, heavy items (duvets, mats) can cause uneven load. Redistribute and run a spin-only cycle.
If E07 persists:
- Inspect motor and belt: Unplug the washer, remove the rear panel, and check that the belt is not slipping and the drum turns freely by hand.
- Check motor brushes: On brushed Gram motors, remove and inspect the carbon brushes. Replace if worn or chipped.
- Wiring and PCB: Inspect the motor harness from the motor to the main control board for damage. If all hardware is sound, the motor drive circuit on the PCB may be defective and should be checked by a technician.
Note: Continued use with a failing motor can damage the control board. Stop using the machine if burning smells or sparking are observed.
