Possible Causes
Partially blocked drain pump, Restricted drain hose or standpipe, Faulty pressure switch not detecting empty tub, Wiring issue between pressure switch and PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer before opening the pump filter.
- Clean pump filter: Open the lower service flap, place a tray, and unscrew the filter. Remove debris and check that the impeller spins freely.
- Check drain hose height: Ensure the drain hose is installed at the correct height per Gram instructions (usually 60–100 cm). Too low or submerged hoses can cause siphoning issues.
- Inspect standpipe: Make sure the household drain is not blocked. A slow household drain can cause backflow and prevent proper emptying.
- Pressure switch: If the tub is empty but the machine still thinks it is full, inspect the pressure hose and switch as described for E04. Clear any blockages and ensure secure connections.
When to call a pro: If E11 persists after cleaning and hose checks, the pressure switch or control board may need replacement by a technician.
