Possible Causes
Loose or cracked sump hose from tub to pump, Leaking drain pump housing, Loose hose clamps, Cracked plastic tub or tub seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer and shut off water supply. Be prepared for water spillage when opening panels.
- Access underside: Remove the rear or bottom panel of your Gram washer to inspect the internal hoses and pump.
- Identify source: Run a short fill cycle while observing (use a torch). Look for drips from the sump hose, pump, or connections.
- Tighten or replace: Tighten any loose hose clamps. Replace hoses that are cracked, swollen, or leaking at bends. If the pump body is leaking from a seam, replace the drain pump assembly.
- Tub or seal damage: If water appears to come from the tub seam or bearing area, the main tub seal or tub itself may be compromised and will usually require professional replacement.
Do not continue using the washer until leaks are resolved to avoid electrical hazards.
