Possible Causes
Loose or damaged communication harness, Faulty user interface (display) board, Defective main control board, Moisture ingress on control connectors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing the control panel or top cover.
- 1. Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes, then reconnect. Sometimes transient communication errors clear after a reset.
- 2. Inspect top control connections: Remove the top cover and gently pull out the control fascia if accessible. Check the ribbon cable and connectors between the display board and main PCB. Reseat them firmly.
- 3. Check for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or detergent residue on the control boards. Allow to dry completely if damp; address any leaks from the dispenser or hoses.
- 4. Visual inspection of boards: Look for burnt components or corrosion. Do not scrape or clean aggressively.
- 5. Replace faulty board: If E10 persists and wiring is intact, either the display board or main PCB is faulty. Replacement of the appropriate Hoover board is usually required and may need configuration by a technician.
