Possible Causes
Water in base tray activating float switch, Leaking door seal, Leaking hoses or tub, Faulty anti-flood switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine and turn off water supply. Be prepared for water spillage when tilting the appliance.
- 1. Check for visible leaks: Look around the door, dispenser drawer, and rear hoses for drips or puddles.
- 2. Inspect base tray: Carefully tilt the machine backward and look underneath. If water is present in the base tray, the anti-flood float switch may be activated.
- 3. Drain base tray: If safe, gently tilt the machine to allow water to drain from the base. Dry the area with towels. Do not operate the machine until the source of the leak is found.
- 4. Identify leak source: Check the door seal for tears, the dispenser hose for splits, and all internal hoses and clamps for drips. Tighten clamps or replace damaged hoses or seals.
- 5. Check anti-flood switch: Ensure the float moves freely and the switch is not stuck. Replace the switch if it is faulty.
- 6. Test: Once fully dry and repaired, reconnect power and run a short cycle while monitoring for leaks.
