Possible Causes
Worn motor brushes (on brushed motors), Stiff drum bearings, Overloaded drum, Faulty motor windings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the motor or rear panel.
- 1. Reduce load: Remove some laundry and try a spin-only cycle. Overloading can cause motor stall.
- 2. Check drum and bearings: Spin the drum by hand. Grinding noises or stiffness indicate bearing issues.
- 3. Inspect motor brushes: As with E06, remove and check carbon brushes. Replace if worn short.
- 4. Check motor connector: Ensure the motor plug is fully seated and free of burn marks.
- 5. If E21 persists: The motor windings or PCB motor drive may be faulty. Professional testing and possible replacement are required.
