Possible Causes
Clogged pump filter, Obstructed drain hose, Foreign object in pump impeller, Blocked standpipe or sink trap
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer. Prepare towels and a shallow tray for water.
- 1. Clean pump filter: Open the lower front flap, unscrew the filter slowly, and drain water. Remove lint, coins, and debris.
- 2. Check pump impeller: Ensure the impeller turns freely and is not jammed by small objects.
- 3. Inspect drain hose and plumbing: Detach the hose from the standpipe or sink trap and flush it. Clean the sink trap if connected there.
- 4. Run a drain/spin cycle: After reassembly, select a drain or spin-only program and observe water discharge.
- 5. Replace pump if weak: If the pump runs but flow is very weak and all hoses are clear, replace the drain pump.
