Hoover washing machine leaks water from underneath the cabinet during operation.

Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply. Tilt the machine carefully; it may be heavy and water may spill.

• 1. Identify leak location: Run a short fill cycle while observing underneath (use a torch and keep clear of moving parts). Stop and unplug as soon as you see water.
• 2. Inspect sump hose: Check the large black hose from the bottom of the tub to the pump for splits or loose clamps. Tighten clamps or replace the hose if damaged.
• 3. Check pump and hoses: Examine the pump body and outlet hose for cracks or leaks at joints.
• 4. Inspect dispenser hose: Look at the hose from the detergent drawer to the tub for splits, especially near bends.
• 5. Tub damage: If the plastic outer tub is cracked, repair is complex and often requires tub replacement. This is usually a job for a technician.
