Possible Causes
Worn or leaking shock absorbers, Broken or stretched suspension springs, Transit bolts not removed on new installation, Machine not level on floor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before tilting or moving it.
- 1. Check installation: Ensure all transit bolts have been removed from the rear of a newly installed machine. Level the washer using the adjustable feet and a spirit level.
- 2. Balance loads: Avoid washing single heavy items. Mix large and small items to balance the drum.
- 3. Inspect shock absorbers: Remove the rear or front lower panel and check the dampers for oil leaks or detachment. A weak damper will move very easily by hand.
- 4. Check suspension springs: From the top, inspect the springs holding the tub. Replace any that are stretched or broken.
- 5. Replace worn parts: Fit Hoover-compatible shock absorbers and/or springs in pairs for best performance.
