Possible Causes

Open-circuit heating element, Faulty heater relay on PCB, Loose heater wiring, Faulty NTC sensor causing heater lockout

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the washer and allow time for any hot components to cool.

F07 is associated with heating circuit problems.

  • Access heater: Remove the rear panel. The heater is mounted in the bottom of the tub with two main terminals and an earth connection.
  • Check wiring: Ensure heater terminals are tight and wires are not burnt or loose. Reseat connectors.
  • Test heater element: Disconnect the heater wires and measure resistance across the terminals. Typical values are 20–30 Ω. An open circuit (OL) or very low resistance indicates a faulty element that must be replaced.
  • Inspect NTC sensor: Many Indesit heaters share a housing with the NTC. Verify the NTC as described under F03; a failed sensor can prevent heating.
  • Control board relay: If heater and NTC test good, the heater relay on the PCB may be stuck or burnt. Visual inspection may show discoloration or cracked solder joints. PCB replacement is usually required.

Do not bypass safety thermostats or relays. Incorrect heating control can cause overheating and fire risk. If unsure, contact a professional.
