Possible Causes

Corrupted EEPROM on main PCB, Power surge damage, Incorrect or failed firmware, Loose connectors on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the washer before accessing electronics.

F09 indicates a problem with the stored program data on the control board.

  • Power cycle: Disconnect power for at least 15 minutes to fully discharge the board, then reconnect and test. Sometimes transient memory errors clear.
  • Check supply quality: Ensure the washer is connected to a stable mains outlet, not an overloaded extension lead. Voltage dips and surges can corrupt memory.
  • Inspect PCB connections: Remove the top cover and access the main PCB. Reseat all multi-pin connectors, ensuring no pins are bent or corroded.

If F09 persists, the control board’s EEPROM or firmware is likely damaged. On most Indesit models, this requires replacement or reprogramming of the PCB using manufacturer tools, which is a job for an authorized service center.
