Possible Causes
Open-circuit drain pump, Broken wiring to pump, Faulty pump connector, Failed pump driver on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer and prepare for water spillage when opening the pump filter.
F11 is more specific to the electrical side of the drain pump.
- Check pump filter and impeller: As with F05, remove and clean the filter and ensure the impeller is not jammed.
- Test pump coil: Disconnect the pump wiring and measure resistance across the pump terminals. Typical values are 150–300 Ω (varies by model). An open circuit indicates a failed pump that must be replaced.
- Inspect wiring: Trace the pump wires back to the PCB, checking for breaks, burns, or loose connectors. Repair or replace as needed.
- PCB output check: If the pump and wiring are good but the pump never receives voltage during a drain cycle, the pump driver on the PCB may have failed.
Replacing the drain pump is usually straightforward. If the PCB is suspected, professional diagnosis is recommended.
