Possible Causes

Faulty dryer NTC sensor, Open-circuit dryer heater, Blocked dryer air duct, Wiring fault to dryer components

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance. Dryer components can be very hot; allow time to cool.

F13 applies to Indesit washer-dryers and indicates a drying temperature fault.

  • Access dryer circuit: Remove the top cover. Locate the dryer heater and NTC (often in the air duct at the rear or side).
  • Check airflow: Inspect and clean the dryer air duct and fan area. Lint buildup can cause overheating and sensor errors.
  • Test dryer NTC: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to service data; an open or shorted sensor must be replaced.
  • Test dryer heater: Measure resistance across heater terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed heater.

Because dryer circuits run at high temperatures and power, if you are not confident working on them, contact a professional.
